Association of Christian Schools International

Around the world, many children are denied access to a traditional school based education by poverty and other circumstances outside their control. Street children, child labourers, many orphans and other vulnerable children cannot afford school fees or cannot take time away from their essential survival tasks to attend school during normal hours. The Association of Christian Schools International Children at Risk Program has established Open Schools Worldwide to develop materials and strategies to help these marginalised children receive free basic literacy, numeracy and life skills teaching at a suitable time and place.  Currently the program serves children in South Africa, Swaziland, Philippines, Zimbabwe and Uganda.

OSW is in partnership with ACSI and TWR and is  funded by Irish Aid and the Methodist Missionary Society Ireland
